AccessibilityOneway should work for everyone who uses it.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on this site and in the App. It is an aim we are working toward, not a certification.
Today
What the site and the App do now.
-
Keyboard
Every link, button and field on this site shows a ring when you reach it with the keyboard. The App draws its own ring on its controls, from the dock to the rows of Settings.
-
Motion
When your device asks for reduced motion, this site's sky holds still and its sections appear without rising into place. The App stops moving too: on its Home screen, every animation stops.
The App also has its own switch, in Settings, then Accessibility. Reduce motion turns off the App's animations without changing what you can do, on every device you sign in on.
-
Contrast
We measure contrast on the rendered page, not only in the code. On Our Mission, Support, this page and the legal pages, every word stands at least 4.8 to 1 against what is behind it, in light and in dark, where level AA asks for 4.5 to 1.
In the App, Higher contrast makes its quieter words and its edges stronger.
-
Text size
No page on this site or in the App turns off zooming, so you can enlarge any of it with your browser or a pinch. In the App, Larger text enlarges what you read.
-
Pictures
Every picture on this site has a text alternative, or is marked as decoration so a screen reader passes over it.
Not yet
Where we know we fall short.
-
Descriptions for your photos
You cannot yet write a description for a photo you post. Until you can, a screen reader hears each one by its place in the post, such as Photo 1.
-
Some small marks
A few small marks on the landing and the OS page, such as the initials in sample profile pictures and the faint arrows between steps, measure below the contrast level AA asks for.
-
Arranging a Center's canvas
In Oneway OS, a Center's Popits are moved and sized by holding and dragging them. There is no keyboard way to arrange them yet.
-
An outside audit
Everything here comes from our own checks. No outside auditor has tested Oneway against WCAG 2.2.
Report a barrier
Tell us what stopped you.
On the contact page, name the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and what you use to get around, such as a screen reader, a keyboard or zoom, so we can fix it.
